Students representing Temple's pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, public health, and other science-related graduate programs come together at the Ginsburg Health Sciences Library on our Health Sciences Center Campus. Located in the Medical Education and Research Building, Ginsburg is a few-minutes walk from the School of Pharmacy building on Broad Street. The space offers group study rooms; wireless access; seating for nearly 1,000; a laptop lending program; a comprehensive collection of electronic resources; and a small collection of current medical titles and specialized print collections, including a leisure reading collection, a medical humanities collection, and a graphic medicine collection.
Designed by internationally-renowned architecture firm Snøhetta, in collaboration with local design and construction firm Stantec, the Charles Library on Temple's Main Campus stands as an iconic, stunning representation of the Temple's academic, geographic, and historical greatness. Accessible within minutes from the Health Sciences Center Campus via car, Temple shuttle, or subway, Charles is filled with a variety of specialized and innovative spaces, including the Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio, the Special Collections Research Center, a dedicated graduate student and faculty area, the Student Success Center, the Temple University Press, an abundance of flexible instruction and multipurpose rooms, reading areas and student study spaces, and a café and spacious 24/7 area. The fourth floor holds our browsing collection of approximately 180,000 volumes on open shelving. 1.5 million circulating volumes and 18,000 linear feet of special collections materials are housed in an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), also known as BookBot, from which items can be pulled for pickup.
